Back From Vacay

We spent a wonderful 3 days at Lake Cocolalla in Northern Idaho. Here's a large share from our time there.

We've had a crazy day getting ready for our vacation in Idaho. I only got my camera out at bathtime. Nothing exciting as far as pics go. I can't wait to see what I get on vacation. We leave Wednesday and I can't wait!

D is a card playing machine. I've never met a 3 1/2 year old that loves playing and matching cards as much as he does. He loves making up his own rules for the games and he can spend hours playing! He's a card playing machine.


Miss M makes quite the faces these days. I love this first one!

More From Today

I shot my first silhouette this evening. The sky was beautiful tonight so I though I'd give it a try. I also got a couple of backlighting shots.

Holy Grossness!

Okay, I hate bugs especially big bugs. We get home today from M's 18 month check and I see this weird looking thing hanging by the door. As I get closer, I realize it's a gigantic moth. It's like 2 1/2 to 3 inches long with a big ol' fat body...eek! I get the camera out and start shooting. They aren't the best shots but I only had my 50mm lens on and I didn't want to get too close...yes, I'm a chicken like that!

Getting Ready

We're gearing up for camping next week in Idaho. M and D are excited and had a blast playing with their sleeping bags today. Just a few snaps to share.

I finally found a field with tall grass but Maddie refused to walk in the grass. Here's the best I got today. I think I'll try again tomorrow.

Okay, white balance and I are not friends. It also doesn't help that our bathroom is painted lime green with aqua/fishy shower curtains...a virtual color cast nightmare.
